The Daiquiri is credited to being created by an American Engineer called Jenning Cox in the town of Daiquirí in Cuba, with his daily ratio of BACARDÍ Carta Blanca he noticed the locals mixed it with their coffee, and began to experiment himself.
Legend has it he was entertaining American guests and had ran out of gin, sceptical to serving neat rum, he mixed it with what he had to hand: Limes and sugar.
The Daiquirí is a cocktail that has been infinitely twisted, and for good reason: the simple combination of Rum, lime and sugar allows for a number of flavours to be added not disturbing the balance of the cocktail. Like this combination of BACARDÍ Spiced and vanilla.
